    I am interested in the attempts to obfuscate by the media hitting the "alt right agitators and 4chan did the digging" angle pretty hard. Interesting to play that up as some sort of context for what is normally no context, cut dry, you're out, do not pass go, do not collect 100 dollars. I actually kind of cheer on the just for the lulz 4chan actions. The left's outrage culture is eating it's own tail. It's deserved because they decided the best route of action was mob justice with ridiculous zero tolerance nonsense. Well don't be surprised when parts of the mob get to have say that you don't agree with.

    Ha! That fan base would murder every soul in the world if they cancelled that show after its huge contract signing.

    They are more creepy, solipsistic, and intolerable than pretty much any fanbase I’ve ever seen. Rick And Morty is smarter and funnier than any live action show and is possibly even my favourite show currently on TV, but I refuse to interact with any sort of club or site dedicated to it. They’re a Youtube comments section come to life.

    Last week The Mrsanthropic, Missanthropic and I piled into the car and drove north of the border for a short vacation in Toronto. We had a great time - went to the Toronto islands, the Distillery District, Chinatown, Kensington, and of course, took in a Blue Jays game.

    It's said that in any given baseball game you can see something new or unexpected. Last Friday night I did indeed see something I've never seen at a game before.

    To our right was group of 12-15 who were throwing popcorn and yelling at one guy in their group who was sitting one row down from us. I looked over to see what was going on, and noticed a woman in the group with a breast pump in one hand and a small baby bottle in the other, with some recently pumped milk. The group passed the bottle down to the guy they were yelling at who stood up and, to chants of CHUG-CHUG, stood up to face the crowd and drank the bottle of breast milk.

    Obivously the guy was talked (chanted) into the chugging. But, was the woman just randomly pumping because it was time, the kid was at home, and she needed to express? Or, did the group first turn to her and say, "hey, you know what you should do . . ."

    From what I understand, like with the death of Phylip Seymour Hoffman, when you use heroin, you build up a tolerance, so you keep upping and upping your dose to try and get the rush... and when you get clean, your tolerance goes away. When they relapse they tend to go for the dose that they were used to at their worst, so they end up OD-ing.

    Apparently she was an addict for almost 6 years before she got clean... so this might be something similar.

    Hard to imagine being a recovering 6-year addict at the age of 25.

    Heroin is pretty terrible all around. The only one that might be worse is booze, simply because it’s the only withdrawal that can kill you.

    Had a friend who tried oxy once, liked it, tried it a second time, realized he had to double the dose to get the same high, and said "fuck it, I can recognize an exponential curve when I see one" and never did it again.

    About 10 years ago right when my PTSD first really flared up, I was prescribed xanax to get it under control while we started toward a more long-term solution.

    FUCK. THAT.

    When you "go off" xanax, you have to half the dosage once a week to wean yourself down. My body went through withdraws so bad that my heart started palpitating, my pulse started racing and I ended up in the hospital. From something that was supposed to make me better.

    The pharmaceutical industry can suck my cock. If medicinal marijuana was legalized none of this would be a problem. But instead people get prescribed stuff like xanax -- which is basically legalized heroin -- under the guise of fixing their problems not making it worse.
