when I got an apple watch I started tracking how much I walked at work each day. Anywhere from 4-7 miles on average. Stopped looking at it after a while, didn't wanna know anymore.
In the 80’s the best diner was the London Flying Club. They had a “Piper Dog” that was out of this world.
Perhaps it’s in the same place with a new look/name?, It’s an eight to ten booth-table restaurant with a large table in the centre, with a glass wall kitchen and tiny bar, the entire east wall is glass that views the runway. It’s basically unmarked, one of those “cool” places you find out via word of mouth. It’s on Blair Blvd.
There's a place in Texas called Perry's Steakhouse. Normally I avoid chains for a nice meal, but that place is incredible. It's in a few other states as well. If you get the chance, absolutely check it out.
We have Perrys close by. Second on the pork chop. Taste of Texas just down the street is where its at though. They even sell their steaks like a butcher. Bought two the other day since they aren't open for normal service. Best ribeye I've ever had.
My mom's birthday is like a week and a half before mother's day. I've just meaning to combine gifts for the days. Since she's also completely given up on presents for Birthdays and or Christmas with just straight cash I was thinking of just giving her a hundred dollar bill.
Has anybody tried the “Quibi” streaming service yet? The idea is brilliant: it’s designed for mobile devices, all shows are big budget original content with ten minute episodes. You can watch an entire episode while on a coffee break.
Well, it's not a How I Met Your Mother reunion or anything, but Robin Sparkles throws one back . . . in a reboot of Let's Go To The Mall. https://news.avclub.com/cobie-smulders-revives-robin-sparkles-for-a-new-quarant-1843375506
ESPN doing a replay of last night's UFC fight. Anyone else like it without the fans? I do. Those hits are thunderous. Even the jabs and leg kicks, they sound just evil
I don't know if I've ever mentioned it, but from my teens to my mid thirties my best friend and I always designated Sundays as "Adventure Day." He and I would jump in a rig and just go...somewhere. It didn't matter where, we just went wherever we felt like going. No wives or girlfriends, just the two of us off exploring the beautiful country up here. We've kind of brought the tradition back in the time I've been back up here, just about every Sunday we've ended up on a drive. Today we ended up in Montana and I found myself wandering in a forest marveling at the sounds, smells, and pure enjoyment of being in the forest again. It was a gorgeous, sunny, 75 degrees and I was in my natural element The day culminated sitting on a log by the banks of a river drinking a beer. His dogs pestering us to throw sticks into the water so they could swim after them. I was surrounded by the mountains, trees, and water I grew up with and love so much and I was with my life long best friend. Pretty much a perfect day. The fact that next week at this time I'll be sitting in that hell hole Las Vegas is terribly depressing.
To answer a rep question, we were outside of Noxon, MT...just above the Cabinet Gorge Dam: Also, today I was introduced to Mongolian Metal. It's a combination of traditional Mongolian throat singing (And traditional instruments) and heavy metal. I dig it.
The Hu is dope, I'm partial to Wolf Totem. The first time I heard it I was driving through the woods and it was foggy and snowing and SO eerie. I kind of felt like I was in a different dimension for 5 minutes.
