I'm in PR and Laura is supposed to cover the entire island in about four hours. Fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck. We saw an estimate of 50k without power, and we burst out laughing. Then the power went out in our office. So, two days of that, then go to Texas (most likely landing spot for the other one). Worst case scenario is Cat 2 or 3, unless they somehow combine.... Two storms making US landfall hasn't happened since 1933. We have about a week of no activity, then hurricane activity resumes. Also, California is on fire and Trump is providing helpful suggestions like sweep the forest. And we're still in August, when these are baby storms and wildfire season hasn't peaked yet. I would officially like to have weather and politics that don't require me to give so many fucks. Jesus, 2020. Haven't you done enough?
