Well, my idea was to add a bunch of quasi-porn movies like "Diary of a Nymphomaniac" and "Gaspar Noe's 'Love'",* but those ideas will also be considered. Based on the "watched" list for the "NIGGER" account, it's some kid about 13 years old. *Both of those movies are on Jungle Julia's watch list, and have been since before I met her.
Then you definitely need to watch parts of #BlackAF, Dave Chappelles stand up specials, and Spike Lees new movie Da Bloods
“Love” is basically an extended pornographic threesome with slo-mo close-ups most would never imagine being seen in a movie. But of course, Noe is the guy who said The House That Jack Built was “The funniest movie of the decade”. He meant that seriously, he was almost kicked out at Cannes for laughing so much while watching it.
Oh good, I'm not the old man here. I got to deal with an asshole today from a town in northern California that's being evacuated because it's on fucking fire. He was angry because his dentist's office was closed and he couldn't get his teeth cleaned. Because the town is being evacuated since it's on fucking fire. It reminded me of the idiots I had to deal with on 9/12/2001...I worked for UPS in IT. The only people I was supposed to talk to was system admins. A few morons got my desk somehow and screamed at me "Where's my next air package?" Since I was IT and not customer service I was free to ask them "Do you live in a cave? Do you get any news where you live?" It always amazes me how some people completely miss the big picture.
Add American History X, The Greatest Story Never Told, and any documentary you can find about bombs, radicals, and hate. Then turn him in to the FBI. Hilarity will ensue.
So, I posted that before watching most of that video... and wow... just wow. I highly recommend watching the whole thing.
Apparently, Laura was supposed to hit Puerto Rico overnight, and is now scheduled to hit in about 2 hours. So, I am just sitting here in a hotel room, waiting for the shit show to begin. One of my staff made this. God damn it.
I’m reading an article where they said Led Zeppelin’s HOF induction had lots of “awkward moments”. ....that’s probably because they stole a lot of their music, and Jimmy Page kidnapped and raped a child. You know, awkward.
Hey, maybe they'll cancel each other out. In other news: Jungle Julia, when I tell her that I'm going to the grocery store later: "No! You need to stop going out so much! You're not taking this seriously! There's a pandemic going on!" Also Jungle Julia, later that day: "I need more avocados and cucumbers when you get out of work. Also, go to the hardware store and get another can of varnish and some more paint rollers."
looks like PR is in for some serious flooding now. Two close friends (and expecting parents) have all their family there so I'm a bit concerned. The way it is now with Laura and Marco's potentially making landfall in the same state, obviously flooding is going to be a huge issue. But why isn't anyone talking about storm surge?
We're not seeing "major" flooding, but some areas and houses are going to get flooded. Power outages would be outrageous for anywhere but PR. Laura might make landfall twice. I forget which one, but one is supposed to hit LA on Monday. Yay, 14 hour work days. How can I synthesize sleep?
This is going to be fun. I'm in that green circle. At least I'm working from home and the wife has been stocking groceries like a prepper since Covid-19 started. My boat is running, but not well. Of all things I've checked while I've been basically storing it for the last couple of years, one thing I didn't do was replace the gas in the tanks. I added Seafoam to the tanks but that was literally 18+ months ago. It ran well yesterday for @ 45 minutes, then was acting up with the RPMs going up and down up to 3/4 throttle and at full throttle it just bogged down completely. No overheating though! Hopefully we won't need it. Time to enjoy a bourbon or two.
So we "Cooled down" to 106 today. And the humidity shot up to 25%. Not a good trade off. And yes, I know 25% humidity isn't shit (I'm from Mississippi where you can chew the air), but when you're used to single digit humidity, 25% is a huge change....you can smell the moisture in the air and when it's 106, it's oppressive as hell. We're at something like 50 consecutive days of 100+ and 120 days without rain. God, I hate the fucking desert.
