You spray it straight up, and your body's natural contours take care of the rest. You still have to dry off, though.
For the first time in my life, I’m seriously considering cancelling our health insurance. Considering our premium is $1,600 a month with a $10,000 deductible, our coverage rarely, if ever, kicks in. The average ER visit can range anywhere between a couple hundred to several thousand dollars. Without a premium, we could come out ahead most of the time. Maybe have a credit card as a backup just in case. Am I crazy considering this? The only drawback would be a serious injury or chronic disease. I have a credit card for injury and I guess we’d just have to roll the dice on chronic disease.
I had a similar policy. My son was in the hospital for three days. It ate through the entire deductible. It would have cost about double it. I would rather not gamble personally. But that’s just me. Isnt your wife pregnant? That doesn’t seem like the best time to not have insurance.
Here are my thoughts- $1,600 premium with a $10k deductible. In the 2 years we’ve had it, insurance never kicked in once. God forbid someone did get hurt- let’s say a $30k visit seems about average for a handful of days hospitalized. In two years since I’ve had coverage, it’d be cheaper to pay out of pocket than have insurance by several thousand. But again, the only concern is a catastrophic or chronic illness/disease. That’s what keeps me up at night so shopping for catastrophic packages.
