Whippets are bush league shit. I'm in California where druggies are hooked on meth and fentanyl like real pros.
I'll order an alfredo dish in a restaurant, just because if I keep the ingredients to make alfredo around my house, I'll die of a heart attack by 40.
It's almost funny how we've become so use to it and then talk to people from other areas and they're just floored what it's really like in the "Golden State" https://nypost.com/2023/08/16/emplo...o-told-to-work-from-home-as-crime-skyrockets/ https://www.sfchronicle.com/sf/article/drugs-crime-nancy-pelosi-federal-building-18292237.php
Not where I come from. I order pasta from restaurants all the time. It's all about the sauce and additions to the pasta that make it quite enjoyable. A nice sea food fettuccine? Yes please!
Yea, the harder to make sauces definitely make a difference. If you're hitting up Joey Tomatoes and getting the spaghetti bolognese though...
It is wild. They are evacuating a 20,000 population town. I think there are 260 wild fires burning in that territory. And some or all of them have all turned towards the city.
Hawaii wasn't on fire, it was Chinese Directed Energy Weapons, aka Space Lasers. Jesus, don't you know anything?!?
Friend of mine in Kelowna just got evacuated over night. 2 kids under 3, 2 dogs, said the air quality is zero.
Maui's fire wasn't because of volcanoes, since I don't think they've had activity in hundreds of years, but Hawaii big island has active volcanoes and isn't on fire. I think Canada doesn't have any active volcanoes, but I am not sure about their space laser program.
We just build the mechanical arms used to point them. It’s kind of our thing. Early reports are high winds in Maui knocked live power poles down and they sparked and kicked off the fires.
Many parts of Louisiana are under extreme drought conditions. I am waiting for the inevitable Raging Forest Fire to burn most of everything only to be followed by the "way too much, way too late" Hurricane combo.
I loved watching the Canadarm moving payload and astronauts around in the Space Shuttle. I remember watching a mission - was it maybe the Hubble repair? - and the narrator was ". . . and now using the Canada arm" this and "Canada arm" that, and the person I was watching with said "why do they keep saying Canada arm?" and like 2 seconds later, there is a tight shot of the word "Canada" and maple leaf flag, and I'm like "well, it says 'Canada' right there on the arm, so . . ."
