Has anyone else been getting way more telemarketer calls lately? The past few months it has been multiple a day. Maybe it is because I have a side business so my cell number is listed everywhere now.
Somehow my work phone's number ended up on a list of people who voted for Trump and then voted for Biden in Georgia. The political spam calls and texts are driving me nuts, and opting out does nothing because they're coming from a tangled writhing mass of unrelated groups that have exemptions to anti-spam laws.
I went this entire time without getting those "Extended Warranty" calls until ~3 weeks ago. Now I get between 4-5 a day and since I use my cell phone for work, it might be a customer calling for me so I have to answer them. If a politician ran on the platform of "I'll take your guns and ban abortion, but I'll eliminate telemarketer/spam calls"; they'd get my vote.
Same, I would of never answered them before but now I have too. Right now the boarder service is after me a lot lately.
Not telemarketing, but scamming? According to “the law”, I’ve had three warrants for my arrest put out in the past month. One said because I shipped illegal items over the border that the FBI is coming to my house (haha) and another said I can pay off my warrant using gift cards. I guess they’re the “Euro” of North America now.
SG EDIT: DON'T DO IT. AND AS FOR YOU, JDOOG, FUCK YOU DUDE. WHAT A HORRIBLE START TO MY FRIDAY. http://www.sanfranchronicle.com/joe...-qREot6s9X36r82UlGthPvi9eC923ON_WgFxqEIaanI8U Shit's getting real out there.
There will be an "almost" full lunar eclipse Friday morning. https://www.npr.org/2021/11/17/1056205732/lunar-eclipse-moon-friday-morning-how-to-see
10 lines of javascript code I copied and pasted from the internet that directs customers to our app in the correct app store for their phone type when they scan a QR code is probably going to be the highlight of my annual performance review this year.
I want to be angry, but this also tickles my nostalgia for the 2000s-era wild west age of the internet.
The internet was fun back then. Completely unpoliced, yet nobody fucking cared. You could never have another person like Chris-Chan come along, things were just so blissfully meaner back then. They way they should be.
Same. NYT had a pretty good write-up (surprisingly) on this exact era of the Interwebz not too long ago.
