Except they started using Ticketmaster recently because fuck it I guess. You can’t resell your tickets to someone you have to sell it through ticket master at face value BUT if the tickets are good and selling fast Ticketmaster up charges themselves and pockets the difference making them the exclusive scalper in the situation. Pearl Jam makes them advertise the full price w/ fees included so you don’t feel misled. The fees are still charged but they aren’t tacked on late in the buying process. Only real benefit. Floor seats In Nashville last year were 1500-5k.
Tom Petty is my biggest regret of never having seen them in concert. I almost went to the show that he played here a few months before he died, but I ended up not going. I have been lucky enough to get most of the acts that I want to see crossed off the bucket list over the last few years. Pearl Jam is probably the biggest one that I still want to see, though System of a Down is a close second. And Taylor Swift too, but I am not counting on getting a ticket to see her ever being feasible.
I just saw Billy Joel at The Garden as he is ending his run there next year and I doubt he's going to keep touring after his residence is over. I've seen him 3 or 4 times now and he still puts on a great show and he's gotten to the "I don't give a fuck, I'm going to play and do whatever I want." stage which is good with me as he plays some not always heard songs. I ended up getting seats ridiculously close as they are technically behind the stage, but his piano rotates so you get to see him playing directly to you and the tickets are like $300 cheaper than one section over. A lot of people compare Billy and Bruce, but I think Billy has WAYYYYY more hits and sing a long songs than Bruce does. Plus he's like a 5'3" guy from Long Island who was banging his way through every super model in the 80's. He gets points for that alone.
I don't know who is comparing Billy Joel to Bruce Springsteen. From a songwriter standpoint, Billy Joel wipes the floor with Springsteen and shits in his mouth.
So kind of like Pete Davidson, he has banged some pretty dam hot women. For a goofy looking mother fucker.
Great little video on the Isle of Man TT. If you don't know the history of it, you should check it out. Those guys, and the bikes they ride, are fucking insane. Of course, as soon as I realized the distance and altitude gain of the circuit, it immediately occurred to me that there has to be an ultramarathon along the same course. Sadly there is not. One day....
There's no contradiction there. Springsteen is a good artist. Billy Joel is a fucking amazing songwriter. Not every guitarist is SRV, but some of them are still very good and I like to listen to them.
No. Not kind of like Pete Davidson. Joel at least has the insane talent and legendary song library, while Davidson has spent the last 22 years being repeatedly raped by a 9/11 plane and acting like an asshole in interviews.
Random: bourbon collector friend of mine is training for an Ironman. I'm getting him a custom etched bourbon glass as a gift. Which do you like better? And/or suggestions are welcome. Spoiler Option 1: Spoiler Option 2 Edit: to help provide visualization, anything black will be sand etched in the glass. So the white letters on the logo would be clear while the logo would be etched around it.
