We imagined ourselves like Sir Edmund Hillary? Because it was there? In my case, I was on the roof splicing into the TV cable, so we could have cable in our bookstore, that 3 other seniors worked with me. (side note: the kindergarten and library had cable for educational purposes, but nowhere else. Not long after I hooked it up for us, was when we watched the Challenger explode live.) So, I was on the roof with a buddy. We looked over and saw a bunch of bags . . . Seemed like a good idea at the time. There was a ladder behind the tool shed. We would drive out to the school at night and climb up to smoke and drink, pulling the ladder up behind us. The cops driving around never bothered to look on the roof.
And that, ladies and gentlemen, is when you know it's a bridge too far. When even Toytoy won't endorse it.
