That patio doesn't look high enough for a railing fall.

That sucks for him. Kid on the way, about to get engaged, just sold his boat for pure profit, and with all those issues he's now going to have medical bills and residual health issues out the ass.

Just glad he didn't die (obviously). What happened to him is the exact reason I'm afraid of heights.

    Just heard from BD.

He said that the only thing that would make him feel better right now is new posts to the Boobie Thread.

    Really.

I was thinking the same thing.

I'm about halfway through a can of Four Loko. I think it's giving me a headache and it tastes like cough syrup. The things I do out of curiosity...

If she makes it through the whole can we'll get a picture of a wall with part of her neck in it, maybe an earlobe.

Instead of boobies, maybe we can send BD a care package of 4 Loko. Crazy music starts, his forearms swell, his eyes bleed, then he Popeyes his way out of bed. I'm convinced this shit is like one of those ye olde arsenic elixirs; a pseudo-remedy of the dark ages translated for modern times. The power of suggestion makes it work.

On a side note, I am so happy everyone is drinking the Loko. Really.

In less obvious news, from that news story I posted...

Brothers and sisters, I have seen utopia, and utopia is a society where a corporation is allowed to sell something fun and dangerous and without any other legitimate use and blatantly say "This product is fun and dangerous. Just don't fucking sue us." And for that matter it's debatable how dangerous the stuff really is - the people drinking it are by far the rate limiting factor - but you see my point.

Seriously. Safe, responsible consumption. As if a man would sit in a leather armchair in front of a fire, reading some snooty book, while sipping four loko out of a snifter.

So, I'm not supposed to be drinking this out of a snifter? I thought that was proper Four Loko etiquette.

If I make it through the whole can?! A little respect please, I said it was giving me a headache but that doesn't make me a quitter. Secondly, I'm pretty handy with the camera on my phone and even when sober it often takes several tries to get a successful boobie picture. The same is true when I'm drunk and if I'm hopped up on this caffeinated mess I'm sure it will double my efficiency.

Got the first real storm of the season going on outside now. 30 mph gusts, lightning out over the water, and all the supplies needed for a power outage.

I hope there isn't a power outage. I have the turkey in the fridge.

They should rename it to "Darwin in a Can", have it subsidized by the government so everyone gets it, then sit back and let shit sort itself out.

    Thinning of the herd.

This would be even more effective than mandatory sterilization (which I am hugely in favor of.)

On another note, I just had a friend tell me via facebook chat that drinking alone is the first sign of alcoholism. I kindly told him that people who say that are just too insecure to drink alone.

    I'm so bored right now.

So I lent my car to my teammate to get to a race this weekend. Got a call about 5 hours ago to tell me my car is now not drivable, the other car in the accident may have been totaled, and my car is six hours away from here. Yeah, I'll be drinking a lot tonight.

Does anyone know what the policy/procedure is when someone else gets into an accident driving your car? Will I have to pay if he's fully covered?

    Same here.

The biggest excitement I had today was when my dad called to ask if I like coconut, so he could know how to prepare a fruit salad for Thanksgiving.

My experience is that it totally depends on your state or province and coverage. Best thing is to get your agent on the phone ASAP, in my opinion.

The biggest excitement I had was pissing my little six month old niece off. It was unintentional and usually I'm pretty good at calming her down, but today I had the opposite effect. She was happy to see me at first but after a while every time I held her it just made her cry. This sucks because I was the first one to make her laugh, I was proud of this fact. I'm not so proud of putting her in a bad mood and then leaving so my sister could deal with her. Oh well, isn't that the point of being an aunt, having the ability to give her back to mom when she starts crying/needs a diaper change?

From what I've gathered no one was hurt. I'm hoping that no magical injuries come popping up in the next few days. For now I'm just kind of in shock. Really didn't see that one coming, never lent out my car before, should have kept it that way I guess.

Usually if you've got full coverage your insurance company will cover it. That's in Missouri though, so I don't know how it works in your state.

    Re: Weekend Dru- BANG! 11/19/10

I once told a guy that I have a beer or two alone. He told me that this was a risk factor for alcoholic liver disease. I then promptly asked him how having one beer by yourself could possibly be a bigger risk factor for ALD than having six beers with your friends. His only response was, "Well, you'll learn about this next year in [addictions / substance abuse course]. It's a risk factor." Dipshit.

I did a lot of driving in a friend's car this summer, almost always with her in the car because we were carpooling over some pretty long distances. One day she tells me, "Keep below the speed limit, because anyone under 25 isn't insured under the policy." This was after I had done a lot of driving well over the speed limit. Thought it was awfully nice of her to inform me of that.

Yeah, I'm going to approach being an uncle the same way. Scratch that. I probably won't deal with my future nieces and nephews when they are that young.

When they start getting old enough to do somewhat fun stuff is when I will come in.

Time for the COPS drinking game.
