    Off topic (if there was one to begin with): Denis Leary was in Small Soldiers?! I'm currently watching this movie, which I haven't seen since it came out on video. I would have been in 6th or 7th grade back then...anyways Denis Leary was in Small Soldiers?! I was unaware.

    Edit: Also, Kirsten Dunst is in this movie.

    The girlfriend wanted a "girls bar weekend" so I get to sit around at the apartment, great because it means I get to drink and watch the Habs/Leafs game.

    Well, that's what I thought, but a friend I only recently re-connected with wanted to go to the pub instead. In -20C (-4F)? Eff no! But I did anyways, it was fun for the most part - steak sandwich special at the pub for $7.95 with local prairie beef, and there was live music, but annoying hipster folk. I like folk music but not songs about how the musician's dog is cute and that the grain seed building next door is tall. But all in all, was a great time, now I'm sitting back, listening to a mixture of Gordon Lightfoot, The Guess Who and Corb Lund and drinking cheap arse Molson Drys. Life can be awesome sometimes.

    to fill in the blanks, I am going to go with Staff party, and free van cab home.

    also, I think its pretty standard to get a free cab ride home from company christmas party. I have mine coming up Wednesday night and they will have cabs lined up to take like 150 of us home.

    Drank last night for the first time in a long time, got hammered at a JF banquet and dance. Drank 14 ryes at the dance and sloppily two steped with any half decent girl I seen. Went back to the hotel and tried to drink a 26er. I got 3/4 way through it when I passed out in the lobby on my way back to my clubs room. I was woken up by the hotel attendent, who was a bitch BTW, and was told to find my room or the police would be on their way. And thats why I dont really drink anymore.

    Anyways long story short, it was a good night.

    In other news, anybody ever had to clean out a rifle after firing blanks? Jesus Tittyfucking Christ those things are a pain in the ass.

    And some good old fashioned heart-wrenching country music.



    My mom listened to country music all my youth in the car. Long before frat boys were singing about having friends in low places, I was irritated by it. Still can't stand the stuff. Last time I heard some country music on the radio, I heard a few lines of verse and thought "What the fuck does that even mean?" It's every bit as meaningless as pop music, but it tries to be down-home and genuine mamma grizzly listening material.
