You had LASIK for reading purposes? I didn't know they corrected for that. I thought it was just distance. In fact, when they did mine they warned me that I would for sure need glasses for reading when I got older; it was a side effect.
I had LASIK because I was blind. I haven't had any issues with anything thus far. Edit- it was five years ago. He maybe told me I could need readers later, but I have no idea.
I had mine about 10 years ago and he also told me that most people will need reading glasses as they get older because our eyes lose the ability to focus. However, they were working on corrective surgery for that also. Sure enough, a year later, I heard advertisements for it. So I guess it's out there. Do you know they used dogs to perfect laser surgery as they are closest to humans' eyes? So, this was kind of weird for me. I was on a road trip Thursday night and I have this habit of looking up anytime I go under overpasses ever since I heard a news story about kids throwing rocks off them so I can break into any evasive maneuvers if needed. I've never seen anyone...until Thursday. Except it was a girl that had climbed over the concrete wall and was facing out, just staring down at the cars passing by. I slammed on the brakes, and I was actually afraid to go under the bridge in case she jumped. I called 911 but it was storming, it was a busy night, so I got busy signals, then I was put on hold, then they tried to transfer me but the State police line was busy. So they gave me the number. By the time I spoke to them, I was about 2-3 miles away. It was freaky and I sure WANTED a drink, but hey, driving, so no go. I can still see her standing there. Weird.
El husband is getting in line for PRK surgery, which he gets for free in the military. I'm pretty jealous. We both wear glasses though I think his eyesight may be a hair worse than mine. I am just so sick of wearing glasses or contacts to be functional. I'll have to wait since it would be out of pocket for me though. I suspect that in several years when it is even more common it'll be even cheaper, and hopefully we'll have more disposable income then, too.
In a strictly feminist sense, Bourbon Street is problematic vis a vis the dehumanizing effect of patriarchy. Beads.
My eyesight has been crap since I was 12. I know that my sight is worse than both my parents' are now. Without contacts or glasses everything is a blur. Without anything, if I really squint and try with a lot of concentration, I might be able to make out large text 6 feet away maybe. It's a sad thing.
I was presented with the opportunity to say "clit" in a sentence today. Couldn't do it. I can drop "cunt", "shithead" or "cum bucket" with the best of them, but could not say "clit". The weird part was I said "clitoris', because somehow that was easier.
How does one get 'an opportunity' to say 'clit?' Were you playing Pervert Password (TM)? OHHHHH!?!?!?!?! Pervert Password: Genius Idea? Or am I just a genius with an idea?
It was in a joke I was telling some friends. The Departed and the Olympics. Good way to spend a Sunday evening.
Got a catalog in the mail yesterday from a company that sells bedding and they have a pillow priced at $5,999. No, it's not a typo. 410 thread count 100% German silk filled with 28oz. of Eiderdown. For that price, one should get the rest of the ducks, and a chef to come your house and prepare them, at a minimum. Who they hell pays $6k for a pillow? Most people don't pay that for a bed (heck, most people don't pay that for the entire bedroom set). Speaking of fowl, I'm smoking chickens this afternoon, right after I get home from my 90 minute massage.
90 minutes? Do you have to wait an hour for the Cialis to take effect so that the happy ending works out?
Bitches want beads Nom. How else are they going to measure their value to society other than cheap, useless, barely decorative baubles that they can actually acquire themselves from a store? I cannot possibly see how you can view that as dehumanizing.
