I'll say again: that thread is so bogged down with spam it's impossible to read. It's up to something close to 4,000 pages of it now. I can't speak for the other mods, but I personally don't even look at it anymore, because how do you find one real post buried in page after page of bots?
Could something like this be implemented to require say 30 posts in order to make a suggestion? https://www.phpbb.com/customise/db/mod/ ... uirements/
I resolved some time ago that any and all buildings I design in my career will include the following two features: The International Symbol of Access painted as largely as possible on each elevator door; and A grand staircase opposite every bank of elevators connecting all floors (fuck your fire codes).
Yeah I just saw all that spam, absolutely ridiculous. Hey, I'm not mad at you mods, trying to pull it out the spam and make it easier for it to be seen here. The best part?!? Its not even my suggestion. Not attacking anyone, just pointing out this great idea. Also, Happy VDay Everyone. Spoiler
Unless I got back a page or two I don't see anything from bots recently. But without Nettdata or Scootah we seem terribly limited on programming options here it seems.....
With a lot of these boards, there's a shitload that regular users can't see. I'm sure 99% of the bot posts are just hidden to us based on certain algorithms.
Yeah sometimes I'll see a bot listed as lurking at the bottom of a thread and click on their name. They usually have an insane number of posts to their name.
If its even possible, I wonder if some form of Captcha can be installed to the Suggestion section. That would definitely eliminate the bots.
I've worked for a total of 5 minutes today. So proud of myself. Can't wait to start my 4 day weekend.
I have been marinating my London Broil for the past two days in lime and tequila with peppers and cilantro. I hope they turn out okay. If not, I will make up for it with heart shaped cookies that say "Forgive me" in icing.
So they comfirmed that Isle Mona Lisa painting is indeed an earlier draft by Leo. That's another cool forensic discovery for the history books this month.
I read that myself, but I want information on the team that did the research. There are quite a few high profile frauds out there falsifying their findings. Someone desperately wants a $150 million painting at auction. Sounds fishy. The article: http://www.guardian.co.uk/artanddesign/ ... o-original It looks like DaVinci's work and it is entirely plausible because he worked on this painting sporadically for at least 20 years, taking it with him on his relocation from Italy to France. The Giacondas never received the thing. Oh, if anyone wants to watch a killer DaVinci documentary, BBC had a special on the last confirmed lost DaVinci. It is well worth the hour.
I feel like this is a stereotypically girl thing to kvetch about, but -- A few days ago my mother said I was "looking chubby!" I do not think this is true, but it's weirdly weighing on me? pun
Is this for real? Because the last time I saw you in a G+ thingy, you looked thin with very prominent cheekbones and all that. GIRLFRIEND, YOU AIN'T FAT!
The following post has been spoilered for gratuitous bragging. Spoiler In other news, I aced my first air brakes written exam today. I didn't just ace it, I was the first one to finish, and I got the highest score (96%). No one else matched me. If that wasn't enough, I found out last night through my brother-in-law that Li'l Bandit (a 6th grader) is taking a 7th grade girl to his middle school's Valentine's dance this weekend! What a little badass!
