Been on a big folk punk kick lately. Here's Frank Turner who's currently touring the US with Flogging Molly.
Aw, Climax Blues Band 'I love you' is such a great song - y'all younguns don't know what you missed in 70's music. And Cat Stevens' 'Wild World' and even Crystal Gayle's 'I'll get over you.' And Chris Rice has a great song 'When did you fall in love with me?'. I'm such a sap.
For some awesome tuneage, I'd recommend the buying their first two albums. Just throwing this in here because Carnifex is sick and they did a decent cover. I can't listen to headbanging shit all the time, plus a hot woman who can sing is a done deal in my opinion.
This is what I walked into at 3AM at the Roxy in LA last weekend. Turn it up. You're fucking welcome. <a class="postlink" href="http://www.myspace.com/biggigantic" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.myspace.com/biggigantic</a> EDIT. Can't embed.
It started raining this morning as I was heading out the door to work. The weekend was a nice break from the snow with temps hitting the 50's. I was in a pretty foul mood getting into the car for the hour commute. This came on the radio after ten minutes. It was a perfect fit.
The new Gorillaz single "Stylo" has been out for a little less than a month, I think, but I've just really gotten into it. Took me a few listens, but it's quickly become my favorite song on the radios right now. Heard another of the songs off their CD the other night, and it sounds awesome as well. The new album looks promising.
I wish I could say I was a KOL fan when they were an underground band, but alas...I discovered them when everyone else did. AWESOME SONG:
