This is one of my favourite Irish folk musicians. I doubt many people here would like it, but no doubt there's a couple. Such a lovely way of singing.
God I used to love these guys. Apparently they are back on tour with Ice Cube, Method man, and Red man. I saw that same lineup hell I think about 8 or 9 years ago and it was one of the best shows I've seen. I think I may go check them out when they're in Charlotte.
Interesting fact, while researching when this song was produced I noticed that wikipedia proclaims- "In December 2009, the Vatican added Tupac Shakur's song "Changes" on the Vatican MySpace Playlist, which was recently created on the new UK MySpace. The song is the tenth song on the playlist among Don Giovanni by Mozart, and "Uprising" by Muse.[1]"
Blue Dog taught me this way. Thanks, bud. It reminds me of that quote, "What you do speaks so loudly I can no longer hear what you say."
Particular attention should be paid to the chorus of "everybody knows that the world is full of stupid people".
I can't link the youtube video from Canada, but Pearl Jam's "Just Breathe" on Austin City Limits last night was phenomenal: http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&videoid=100641864
Just heard of Chuck Ragan through my current favorite band, The Gaslight Anthem. Chuck Ragan's acoustic stuff is kind of like old school rock with a folk twist. I'm a sucker for punk bands doing acoustic songs. The lyrics of this song are really interesting as well.
This is one of my favourite chucky songs. Makes me want to pick up an AK and free Ireland by tomorrow.
I'm the only one I know who's heard of this band, and am a big fan especially for this kick-ass song.
