On a recommendation, I started listening to these guys a couple weeks ago. I found that I much prefer their live album, Liver! Lung! Fr!, to the studio stuff. I couldn't find any YouTube clips from that album, so this is what you get. Check them out.

Aside from The Decemberists and Wild Beasts, The National has been dominating my playlist for some time now.

This has got to be one of my favorite songs. Surprisingly, two artists who I usually don't really care for did a really great cover.

Money Mark: is better known as being the keyboardist for the Beastie Boys. I dig his music because it's got it's hand in my head and it's pulling out all my mind.

Fer fuck sakes c'mon! This used to be a warm-up for us when I played in a competitive marching band:

Love the book, love the movie, and sometimes I get in moods where I listen to this song 6 times in a row.

In my opinion, this is the most rock n' roll rock and roll song ever recorded. I will never, EVER get sick of listening to this tune.

Just watched Romeo + Juliet (1996) for the first time last night. Great song from the movie.
