I bought the new Band of Horses album well over a month ago, and finally gave it a good listen. Not as good as the previous two, but a couple good tracks on it:
The Black Keys I went and bought their album Brothers after listening to this single off of it. I haven't bought a cd in years but I couldn't wait to get home, download it and burn it to a cd myself. I haven't regretted it for a second. My Dad tried to steal the cd. The local gas station attendant wanted to know what band it was when he heard it over the intercom while I was gassing up.
Crap band name? Check. Slightly pretentious? Check. Probably wear skin tight jeans and cardigans? Check. Dirty, dirty, electro funk punk garage bass heavy goodness? Check. Turn up your bass and wait for 0.46.
Ryan Bingham's new album was released today: And for today only, the MP3 album is available at Amazon for only $3.99
An acoustic cover of Justice's D.A.N.C.E. mixed seamlessly with Alors on Dance by Stromae. I need to go to sleep.
A while back I found all my old CDs buried in a box from when we moved from NJ to WA in 2007. I finally sat back and listened, once again, to my old friend October Rust. I had forgotten how amazing this album was. I have been playing In Praise of Bacchus almost nonstop since last week. The week before, it was Christmas Mourning. Can't understand why Peter Steele had to go off and die while people like Soulja Boy still live.
