Been going on a massive OCD inspired purge of the music on my HD and deleting doubles shitty copies and aquiring stuff I'm missing plus others I've been meaning to get.
My brother turned me on to these guys: <a class="postlink" href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0PakoE1eBps" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0PakoE1eBps</a> <a class="postlink" href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xktiqu6poT0" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xktiqu6poT0</a>
I came across this on another forum. It's only the second version of the song I've heard that I've liked, the other being Tom Waits's. Lead Belly's kinda awesome.
So what do you get when you mix Damian Marley, Joss Stone, Mick Jagger, Dave Stewart and A.R. Rahman? A very mainstream, poppy sound, as it turns out. The song doesn't totally suck (like most big collaborations do), and Mick Jagger is pretty funny. He's the skinny old dude that has no idea it isn't appropriate to hump the young girls anymore.
