Ah, fibreglass insulation. Horror of horrors, the very thing Lucifer himself has nightmares of. How I miss removing the old yellow shit that pulverized your flesh and replacing the it with the new pink all the while drenched from sweat in the summer. Good times.
Hey now, don't judge. Maybe they all had brain tumours and feel like pushing their boundaries since they're basically on borrowed time.
I blame the parents more than anything. "Stupid" is a kid's natural state, and it has to be trained out of them. That's the whole job of the parent(s)... to ensure the kid's survival. This bullshit doesn't help with that one bit.
I dunno - that makes it sound like they're just looking for attention, maybe trying to get on some kind of reality TV show or something.
Swinging as hard as you can with a splitting maul couldn’t compare to one notch of that damage. It looks like it was attacked by a monster. That many deep gashes travelling at THAT speed... ouchies. Those people would have been strewn meat a quarter second earlier.
Twice in the last four months I have received applications from people named "Tequila." What the heavenly fuck would posses a parent to name their child that? Besides, maybe, tequila?
So I don’t know motorized boating well.. what HAPPENED in that video to cause that? Was it stupid recklessness, or were they in a blind spot being dead in line with the bow or what? That boat was FLYING. It became so big so goddamn fast.
There is a blind spot (well, lots of them actually) on a boat that size, and without knowing the exact height of the yacht I'd reason a guess the fishing boat entered the blind spot -- where you can't see what's in front of the bow due to the angle you're looking down -- roughly around the time the fisherman stood up on the transom area to yell and waive. Suffice to say, that anchored/drifting boat should have been spotted WELL before that video even started. While it was overcast the visibility still looked good, especially with fishing rods and people waiving they should have been seen easily. Of course we don't have information like if they were in the middle of a channel or something, but still that's only marginally relevant and doesn't excuse them not being noticed before the point of a collision. Think of piloting a boat like driving a car at night -- don't outrun your headlights, and don't go faster than you can effectively react. Boats have no breaks, and it takes time (and distance) to make them change direction never mind stop. Didn't look like there was any attempt made to change direction or speed, so what caused that was the pilot not paying attention combined with speed. They probably didn't realize they hit a boat until the heard the noise, turned around and saw the thing.... I'd actually like to see what the damage was to the yacht.
The driver of the big boat was 75 years old, sitting down, and couldn't see over the dash. His words, not mine. Also he may have been fucking around with his phone. The only thing missing is a bottle of Jack.
He also uses a scooter to get around on land. When a newspaper asked him about allegations (from his son-in-law) that he might be on his phone, he referred to the allegations as "fake news."
When I lived in Alaska I knew an old guy about 75 who had a big fucking boat. He was always wanting to take me out boating with him. On the ocean. I always passed. Every time he went out on his BFB the Coast Guard had to rescue him. Like high performance cars, just because you can afford it doesn't mean you can handle it.
