Well, college football isn't holding my interest today....someone bring the entertainment. And I'm drinking a case of Miller Lite....jesus, fuck being broke.
I never submit salary expectations when they ask. Maybe that's wrong, but I want them to meet me, interview me, and fall in love with me before I tell them what I think I'm worth.
Damn, I've got a Loomstate jacket that would probably be a couple of shades lighter if I ever washed it. I'll keep this in mind. BRILLIANT! Reposted on Facebook.
The hardest part of the interview process for me, by far, was the salary negotiations. I can be confident in answering their questions, but get all squirmy when the talk turns to money for some reason. I had the benefit of knowing how much my classmates were being offered (since we were all going to be doing pretty much the same job) which gave me a "fair" range. I also had another offer on the table so used that for negotiation too. Is this your first job in your field? Do you know how much your classmates are getting for similar work? If not, I guess you could use something like salary.com to figure out what the going rate is.
Good idea, I didn't know that existed. All I have done is look up the average income for that area. Honestly I am getting way ahead of myself but fuck it! I'm excited.
My little two year old niece just had a puke to put all you drunks to shame. Spewed while eating her sandwich and continued to chew the whole time. Bit more spew, never mind that she thinks I haven't finished my sandwich and continues to eat the rest of it. There was no warning at all, just bam, out it comes and all over.
College football sucks. If Wisconsin goes undefeated and has no shot at the title I'm going to sit through a few bowl games and then refuse to watch next year. If I stay in I might watch Kansas/Oklahoma for lulz. Time to start drinking more aggressively in an effort to make this shit fest they call football interesting.
Scotch round two, fight! I'm really hating that I can't go to the NYC meet up. A twelve hour drive is just too much.
Where do you live? At that distance, the New Orleans meetup might be a reasonable distance. Hint hint.
In Charlotte NC, so kind of in the middle of both... I don't know if my 12 hr approximation is accurate, but I know that it is too far either way. When is the NO meet?
